Annika grew up in Colorado and began dancing in 2014 when she was recruited into the highschool colorguard, despite being only 13 at the time. Between 2017 and 2021 Annika took a hiatus from performing in order to complete her dual highschool degree, move to Sweden, and study police science and psychology. In 2021 Annika joined a theatrical dance group in Lund, becoming captain within only a few months, and eventually lead them to Talang. In 2024 Annika was offered a teaching position in Show Jazz and fell in love with the job — she says, “some of the most fufilling moments in my life have been being a part of students’ ‘aha’ moments and watching them fall in love with dance just like I did”.
